General Statement of Duties:
Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, and funding conditions.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Confers with organizational clients to assess needs and determine project goals, requirements, time frame and funding limitations; evaluates the impact of the project on the organization and the client's operations.
2. Develops project plans, designs, budget, schedule and staff requirements using AutoCAD and project management software.
3. Supervises all aspects of the-day-to-day management of projects, monitors and coordinates work performed by contractors, vendors, and staff of Construction, Facilities, Biomedical and/or Clinical Departments to ensure that projects are completed according to priorities, schedules and within budgets.
4. Authorizes the issuance of contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and approves contractor invoices for payments.
5. Ensures that projects operations are in compliance with specifications, policies, regulations and codes.
6. Inspects, approves, and accepts completed projects for the organization; ensures that contractors and/or vendors are paid.
Minimum Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED with three years of experience directly related to managing construction projects and two years experience working with AutoCAD is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Design is highly desirable.
