Description:
The Project Manager, Corporate Systems will be responsible for managing application initiatives for Paramount Corporate business units including Finance, Accounting and HR. Responsibilities include the management of all phases of application projects including project planning, requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and production support. The Project Manager will manage teams consisting of internal Paramount and vendor-staffed onshore and offshore resources.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
* Manage projects as assigned including timeline, scope, resources, risk, quality and customer expectations
* Assist in preparation of Project Charter development, Cost Benefit Analysis, Request for Information and Request for Proposals
* Assign personnel and manage resource allocation in a flexible manner in response to changing business priorities, direction and budget
* Provide leadership to project team members and other matrixed support resources and external technology partners
* Conduct project status meetings with business users and management
* Prepare and manage project budgets
* Communicate plans, status and issues to management on a regular basis
* Ensure application development standards and infrastructure standards are followed
* Work closely with core IT functions (e.g. architecture, infrastructure, security) and managers of related initiatives to ensure proper integration
* Serve as an escalation point for customer or other IT service areas for issues and concerns
* Oversee daily operational activities of systems support working closely with internal Paramount resources and onshore/offshore vendor resources
* Manage resolution of system issues by coordinating appropriate resources to ensure timely resolution
* Work closely with vendors to provide production support for applicable systems
* Participate in discussions with IT and business regarding current and anticipated service requirements and alternative solutions
* Interface with software vendors to obtain current product info, arrange for demonstrations, and evaluate new products for possible acquisitions.

Qualifications:
Basic qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree

Desired skills:
* Minimum 5 years IT experience in applications development and 2+ years managing and supporting projects.
* Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle from requirements gathering through implementation.
* Demonstrated hands on and managerial experience in developing small, medium and large scale projects across all phases of the project life cycle, as well as in the creation of supporting project plans.
* Strong organizational skills including an ability to establish priorities, exercise good judgment, meet deadlines, and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
* Ability to function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, customer oriented team, perform effectively as an independent producer under management direction, and a demonstrated willingness to support the team on all levels to get the job done.
* Ability to create and present effective materials including presentations and status reporting
* A commitment to maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction through the implementation, investigation, analysis, training and relationship building efforts.
* Experience in supporting a production environment. Ability to accurately identify and analyze business requirements processes and issues, provide recommendations, and implement technical solutions.
* Understanding of Sarbanes Oxley principles and practices.
* Experience with application development technologies including Client/Server, Web-enabled and distribution applications including Java, Oracle and .Net.
* Experience working with an outsourced application development and support model is a plus.
