Meridian Knowledge Solutions a division of VIP (Visionary Integration Professionals) located in Chantilly, VA is seeking an organized, professional, and motivated Project Manager I to lead project teams during implementation of Meridian’s learning management system and eLearning solutions for public and private sections clients’. 

The Project Manager I will be responsible for leading matrix project resources throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, scope and schedule management, customer communications, testing liaison, implementation and production support, and contract support. 

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all activities and deliverables within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); web application knowledge a plus


• Application and adherence of formal Project Management Policies and Procedures.


• Set and manage client expectations.


• Strong requirements analysis skills.


• Ability to direct and oversee all project activities to ensure adherence to specified requirements and software compliance standards.


• Assists in defining the scope and requirements with project stakeholders.


• Establishes and manages project plan, schedule, and timelines.


• Assist in the development of project budget and manages project within budget.


• Develops documentation that effectively communicates to workgroups (status reports, minutes, issues and risks).


• Identifies risks; establishes and manages risk mitigation strategy and plans.


• Escalates issues when needed for timely resolution.


• Facilitates work team sessions or other meetings required to resolve issues.


• Development of Statement of Work (SOW).


• Coordinates resources within and across projects.

• Ability to work with all levels of the Meridian organization in a positive, professional manner.


• Demonstrated problem identification/analysis/solving skills

• Ability to meet deadlines for assigned tasks.


• Demonstrated technical writing skills


• Demonstrated proficiency with Excel and Word; MS Project


• Ability to build and foster positive professional business relationships


• Minimum 7 years professional work experience required.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Learning Management Systems


• Experience in eLearning space


• Project Management Professional (PMP)


• Exposure to methodologies such as RUP, CMMI and other iterative as well as agile methodologies would be helpful
