We are currently looking for a Project Manager III who will oversee a variety of IT related projects as part of a major construction and renovation project for a Federal Agency.

  Responsibilities / Duties

   • Manage IT projects through the full project life cycle.

    • Work with General Contractor and other team members to ensure the completion of IT components during construction of a new Command Center, renovation of buildings, and implementation of various IT components including Security Systems, VTC and closed

   circuit television, Telecom Systems, and client databases.

    • Gather customer’s requirements.

    • Communicate status effectively to the General Contractor, Program Manager and other key stakeholders.

    • Write and prepare documents at a high level.

    • Serve as member of key personnel for large-scale construction project and provide leadership for the installation, deployment and integration of the technology components including security systems, video display equipment, network infrastructure and land mobile radio solutions.

    • Subject matter expert for security systems, including access control and intrusion detection devices in a command center environment.

    • Oversee integration of security systems, telecommunications systems, video conferencing/multimedia, and cable and wiring infrastructure.

  Experience

   Preferred

   • Experience as part of IT Technology team during major construction and/or renovation projects preferred.

   Required

   • 8-10 years Project Management Experience required.

   • Knowledge of Lenel security systems, and experience in maintaining and supporting facility intrusion detection systems, access control systems and intelligent video systems and closed circuit TV systems required.

    • Ability to obtain Lenel certifications is critical.

   • Experience with security systems, and knowledge of cabling/wiring infrastructure components required.

Ability to complete analytical reports and communicate effectively with General Contractor team, clients and other key stakeholders.

  Education

   Preferred

   • College degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

  Qualifications

   Preferred

   • PMP certification desired.

 Candidates will be subject to a Department of Defense background security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

   This is a full time, exempt position reporting to VP Business Unit.
