JPI is seeking two (2) Project Managers at the following experience levels:
- Seven to ten years of management consulting experience and five years direct PM experience
- Five to seven years of management consulting experience and three years direct PM experience
Please note: We are not interviewing Senior Project or Program Managers for these opportunities.
The successful candidates will work with US Department of Homeland Security clients on site in Washington, DC and a JPI team consisting of communications specialists, software developers/engineers, analysts, and other Project/Program Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Qualifications include Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, or a related field; PMP certification is desired and an MBA is a plus. Preference for candidates with a working knowledge of USCG modernization efforts and mission support model. Software proficiencies should include: MS Project 2010, Project Server 2010, and Project Web Access, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and Visio. As this position requires communication with ranking military personnel, experience with military branches and government agencies is desirable. Additionally the candidate must be a US citizen clearable to DoD Secret clearance or above.
Responsibilities for these positions include:
- Creation of Project Management-related strategies or action plans: application of Project Management methodologies (processes, best practices, tools, and templates) and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
- Development and maintenance of integrated master schedules and work breakdown structures
- Development of ConOps, Process Guides, and project artifacts including charters, agendas, minutes, and correspondence
- Leading and facilitating client meetings and exercises, including mapping and communicating complex business processes to the client and providing status briefings and reports
- Support of software implementation efforts, participation in Program Management working sessions, and support of day-to-day PM activities including pending introduction of a MS-based Project Management Information System (PMIS)
