Monster Worldwide is seeking an exceptionally talented and motivated individual to join our Global Project Management Office team and should be flexible to work out from either our Maynard, MA or Cambridge, MA location. As a project manager, you will enjoy a high degree of organizational latitude and will have complete accountability and responsibility for project execution and success.

The Global Project Management Office is in a leadership position, responsible for the cross-functional management of product and business applications development and deployment. This group of world-class project management professionals ensures the successful definition, development and delivery of projects to provide significant value to our business partners and customers. With associates located in development centers in the U.S., Europe, India and Malaysia, the Monster Product & Technologies division fosters a dynamic, innovative and entrepreneurial environment focused on leveraging cutting-edge technology to develop industry-leading products.

Essential Functions:

  • You will be the project leader within Monster’s global Product & Technologies teams, and will be the key point of contact for all project-related activities.
  • Lead, manage, coordinate, and report on multiple complex projects.
  • Lead resources from the Product & Technologies division to define solutions and lead projects to deliver on the project vision.
  • Partner with multiple business units to provide project leadership, application-specific subject matter expertise, and technical insight and impact assessments as they relate to Monster’s online presence.
  • Assemble and drive large cross-functional project teams, identify resources required, and develop detailed cross-functional project plans to ensure the on-time completion and launch of projects, which not only focus on delivering the technical components of the project but also the business readiness activities required to prepare our internal business groups and external customers for the project deliverables.
  • Responsible for communicating project status frequently with team members and as well as senior business stakeholders.
  • Utilize sound judgment in assessing your projects’ health as well as in identifying, mitigating and resolving project issues and risks to on-time project delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with your peers and managers within the Global Project Management Office to develop methods for continuously improving productivity and efficiency within the organization, in the areas of project planning methodology, SDLC, tools, and standards, to promote consistency in how projects are run at Monster.
  • Cultivate strong inter- and intra-departmental relationships and promote a positive, execution-focused work environment.


 

Required Skills:

The successful candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 3+ year’s project management and leadership experience concurrently managing multiple large projects in a technical and cross-functional environment with aggressive delivery deadlines.
  • A successful history of driving teams to meet aggressive deadlines, utilizing sound project management methodology (processes, best practices, tools, and templates) and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple organizational levels and organizational boundaries to generate results, achieve progress and complete projects.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead and motivate teams to execute under aggressive timelines.
  • Ability to understand technical vision and communicate it to both technical and non-technical parties.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong, collaborative relationships in a highly matrixed organization (business and technology departments) to drive business results.
  • Proven experience managing scope and internal/external expectations through effective negotiation and partnering.
  • Significant experience in running projects in a waterfall or iterative software development lifecycles in a web-based environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and have the ability to interpret data to provide clear recommendations based on results
  • Proven accurate project estimation and project planning skills
  • Candidates are required to demonstrate initiative and self-direction with strong business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Outstanding time management and organization skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Outstanding skills in operating MS Office and project planning software (MS Project).
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to improve project management processes and coach / mentor other project managers.
  • MS or MBA degree.
  • PMI Certification
