Responsibilities:

·         Manage the entire project up to detailed design ie preliminary and basic engineering.

·         Drive the permitting process together with permit expert.

·         Manage and update schedule and budget.

·         Manage outside engineering company who will perform preliminary and basic engineering.

·         Support search for used equipment.

·         Represent owner (Myriant) in discussions and negotiations with site owner and outside engineering company.

·         Select construction company and hand over the project to Myriant’s capital projects team, who take over after basic engineering.

·         Coordinate interactions between owner, site and outside engineering company.

 Education:      

·         Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.

·         Master’s degree a plus, but not required.

Skills & Qualifications:         

                ·         5-10 years project management experience in the Biotechnology Industry.

·         Experience running capital projects and managing capital project budgets of $30+ million.

·         Understanding of permitting process.

·         Experience working on EPC projects.

·         Ability to interact with capital projects team and R&D.

·         Good reporting and communication skills.

·         Willingness to travel up to 50%, domestically and internationally.

·         Willingness to work long hours. 

·         Experience in fermentation and organic separation is a plus.
