Job Summary:
Experienced project manager responsible for multi-year, multi-million dollar project designing and implementing a new internal workflow solution that drives 85% of the business revenues. Responsible for management of multiple, simultaneous sub-projects, including oversight of re-engineering business processes and managing organizational transformation. Capable of adapting and flourishing in a collaborative, highly challenging and dynamic environment.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage master project plan, encompassing technology, business process, organizational transformation and go-to-market sub-projects, with defined critical path milestones and deliverables
- Develop and maintain governance structures and provide guidelines for management and oversight of work streams, including a package of project management templates, i.e., charter, resource plans, project schedules and communication plans, to ensure consistency across project
- Manage schedules derived from each work stream, including critical path tracking and dependencies / linkages / hand-offs within and across all project work streams
- Ensure that projects are proceeding according to timelines, meeting targets and expectations, and adhering to established operating parameters
- Provide direction, leadership and accountability for critical project management efforts, including development and management of the following processes:
- Organization transformation
- Change management
- Risk management
- Quality management
- Deliverable approval and management
- Issue management
- Resource leveling and managemen
- Facilitate gap and risk analysis; create and execute mitigation plans
- Assist individual work streams in the execution of project management tasks and serve as escalation point to overcome challenges and support steps to remove roadblocks
- Establish, monitor and manage financial controls and project budget
- Develop a communications plan, standards, message review process and coordinate all program communications, including client deployment
- Engage executive level steering committee on a regular basis
- Identify, collaborate and communicate with constituencies at all levels
- Motivate and energize the team to achieve corporate as well as team goals
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- MBA or Master's degree in related field of study preferred
- PMP Certification required
- 8 to 10 years project management experience, with proven ability to establish priorities for multiple complex projects simultaneously
- 2+ years in a management role preferred
- Recent experience working with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
- At least 2 years experience with methods, tools and techniques for defining and documenting client needs
- Record of achievement managing a large-scale project that transformed business processes and included organizational re-design responsibility
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus and drive resolution of issues while maintaining positive working relationships across functions
- Strong estimating and financial modeling skills
- Experience coaching or mentoring
- Demonstrated experience eliciting information from domain experts
- Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to articulate and establish processes in a cross-functional environment
- Record of commitment to organization, clients, team, and project performance
- Interactive / hands-on management style
- Ability to relate to executive business management; strong writing and presentation skills
