Job Description:
Project Managers are key to successful project completion and delivery. Our clients rely on Project Managers to manage timelines, budgets, and communication to ensure all project requirements are met. Project managers are expected to work closely with Developers, Designers, and Account Managers to ensure we fulfill on all projects.
Responsibilities Include:
Maintaining a close working relationship with Account Managers to manage smooth project deliverables and communication
Coordination of technology and design staff activities
Internal representation of the clients voice
Management of budgets and schedules
Maintaining team morale
Required Experience and Skills:
Experience managing projects that include complex technology design, development and integration efforts
Experience managing teams of technologists while interfacing with senior client stakeholders that have a deep appreciation of sophisticated technologies and delivery methodologies
Experience extracting and prioritizing business requirements to assist with introducing strategic technology design recommendations and planning for clients
Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile
Proven experience guiding and motivating project teams
Experience with project team mentorship and issue resolution skills to ensure on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, team satisfaction and quality assurance
Effective written and verbal communication skills to manage projects, provide status reporting, assist with proposal development efforts and mange project deliverables
Experience scoping, planning and applying the necessary staff to projects
Experience assessing risk and tracking, communicating and mitigating risk across all projects
Experience managing project margin through effective change management practices as well as assisting with the collections of accounts receivables
Experience managing fixed price as well as time & material engagements is required
Preferred Requirements:
Technical managers should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience with project management in software design and development consulting.
Experience must include requirements gathering, functional requirement documentation, project plan creation, managing to budgets and timelines, client communication and overall project tracking.
Extensive knowledge is required but not limited to MS Project and MS Office. Some travel will be required.
PMP Certification
Contract Management experience
Experience in a Flex, Flash, AJAX, Silverlight design or development company
In-depth understanding and knowledge of the RIA industry
Travel required - 25%
