Here is the area that I specialize in:
Utility Contractors- Electrical Transmission and Distribution lines. These are union and non-union contractors who build and repair transmission and distribution lines for utilities and municipalities, as well as, Renewable Energy projects.
I am working on a few Management and Executive positions right now.
This posting is for a Project Manager level position overseeing Transmission and Distribution operations.
This department is building transmission and distribution lines for Utilities and Municipalities. This division also builds substations, as well as, collection systems for renewable energy projects. In this position, you will have full budgetary and operational responsibilities, as well as, P & L responsibilities.
We are looking for those folks who have industry experience. We would love to have former linemen who have moved up into management and have managed projects from a budgeting and scheduling standpoint using PMP methodologies. Or maybe you are working for an Engineering/consulting firm who is doing the same thing from that side of the table.
You need to have experience in setting up a job, putting the controls in place and then tracking those controls in order to ensure projects are being completed on time under budget and incident free. Experience in estimating and putting the bids together is helpful too.
This position manages the process not the job. You will manage the folks running the jobs. You need to be a team player though and jump in and run jobs when needed. You help with client relations and business development efforts. You will oversee the process from bidding all the way through completion.
