Tefen USA, a leading Management Consulting firm, has immediate openings for a Project Manager with experience in Process Improvement or Business Excellence. We are seeking a strategic thinker who can focus on innovation and continuous improvement in a fast paced dynamic environment and who is comfortable traveling (approximately 80%).This position requires travel to our client’s location, therefore relocation is not required.

Responsibilities


 



  • Lead cross-functional teams – including executive leadership, managers, manufacturing operators etc., - gather data, observe operating procedures and workflow, perform times studies, and analyze data to create recommendations for process improvement.
  • Developing new processes, improve cycle time, tool availability, cost reduction, process quality, yield, throughput, and procedures.  Analyze and document results.
  • Execute project plan to exceed expectations by demonstrating strong problem solving and implementation capabilities
  • Utilize a structured methodology to analyze organization systems and processes, to make recommendations for operation improvements and to coordinate the implementation of changes, working through individual and team approaches
  • Responsible for the successful planning, scheduling, and completion of multiple operations planning and improvement projects
  • Prepare and manage the project’s work plan - activities, schedule, resources, etc.
  • Plan, manage and control budget & schedule
  • Execute project plan to exceed expectations by demonstrating strong problem solving and implementation capabilities

 


Qualifications



  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in an operational role with at least 2 years of experience in managing a team through process improvement initiatives. Operations Management Consultingconsulting experience is preferred.
  • Must have performed continuous improvement activities within various departments.
  • Experience developing and improving business processes to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives within budgetary targets.
  • Knowledge of any combination of the following operations excellence concepts and tools, such as value stream mapping, business process redesign, lean, six sigma, modeling and simulation, cycle time reduction, facility layout design, etc.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: conducting lean assessments, sales and operations planning, continuous improvement, sales optimization, research effectiveness, technology transfer, regulatory compliance adherence, PMO.
  • An understanding of one or more of the following: manufacturing, quality, operations, advanced planning and scheduling, supply chain management, strategic sourcing, organizational design.
  • Ability to work effectively with people within multiple disciplines.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Excel and Access.
  • BS/MS with Engineering or Science majors or an MBA degree with a science/engineering undergraduate degree preferred.

 


The following are desired but not required:



  • Experience within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Medical Device, General Manufacturing, Semiconductor or Healthcare industries.
  • Industry certifications, such as a Six Sigma Black Belt/Master Black Belt, APICS.
  • Bi-lingual capability (Spanish or other foreign language).
  • Familiarity with modeling and simulation software, statistical analysis software.
