PROJECT MANAGER – Commercial Kitchen & Design Installation
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to oversee completion of project(s) after design, proposed budget and sale including turnover to client, and all financial objectives associated with project. Reports to: Director of Project Management
Supervises: No one
Internal Key Contacts: Field Manager, Contract Administrator, Designer, Estimating, Sales, Design Director and CAD operators
External Key Contacts: Client, General Contractor, Sales Reps, Fabricators, and Subcontractors
Teamwork Success Requirements - Meet with Field Manager, Contract Administrator, Estimating and Sales Manager for “Project Turnover” or Pre-Turnover meeting

Operational Efficiency - Utilize Project Insight to manage projects
- Resource Allocation
- Required Tasks
- Scheduling
- Process and follow-up on all R.F.I.’s in a timely fashion
- Manage tasks for Field Manager and Contract Administrator to assure timely project completion
Customer Satisfaction - Coordinate all communication for field or schedule changes with Client
- Assist client and contractor with field questions or problems
- Update schedule with Client and G.C. on a weekly basis
- Correspond as needed with project templates
- Review all project requirements with General Contactor and Subcontractors
- Monitor Field Manager to insure client, G.C. and consultant satisfaction
- Provide General Contractor with written documentation of items they need to complete in order for RW Smith to meet scheduled installation and start-up dates
- Perform walk-through with Client, General Contractor and Field Manager
- Deliver Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals and review warranty procedures and closeout of project
Financial Performance - Review costs and monitor project mark-up’s
- Process Change Orders and follow-up with Client prior to commencing work
- Process all daily reports, prevailing wage information and required paperwork
- Review all Purchase Orders (PO’s) for pricing issues
- Process any back-charges with Vendors
- Process all monthly AIA billings in a timely fashion
Support Functions - Maintain constructive relationship with Vendor(s)
- Assist Field Manager as required with issues concerning scheduling, installation, punch lists and inspections
- Assist Contract Administrator with issues concerning equipment delays, freight damage, staging and back-charges
- Coordinate as-built drawings and close-out documents as needed.
Qualifications Experience: - Minimum of 3-5 years in the foodservice industry with large project experience, architectural experience preferred
- Experience with educational and/or hospital facilities is helpful
- Multiple project management experience required
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Certifications: PMP certification is preferred
Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, prioritization, negotiation, customer relationship management
Knowledge: Ability to read blueprints, computer skills should include Microsoft Word/Excel and Microsoft Project, proficient in use of project management and documentation tools
Abilities: Extremely organized and capable of tracking, managing, and resolving issues on multiple projects simultaneously.
