POSITION TITLE: Project Manager/Senior Project Manager

SALARY & BENEFITS:
SALARY RANGE: $85,000-$110,000

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Provide Project Management support to the FAA Data Communications Program Office in the areas of Systems Engineering or Acquisition/Implementation. Support the development and maintenance of integrated schedules that accurately and completely capture necessary activities, participants, major tasks, and their related subtasks to include the necessary resources and interdependencies and develop appropriate schedule status and tracking methodologies. Responsible for tracking actions, issues and decisions and leading resolution efforts to address open items. Provide decision and status review, briefing support and meeting scheduling/coordination and material preparations. Support acquisition planning and strategy development, acquisition documentation development and source selection planning activities. As requested, assist with market surveys, RFI/C development, budget preparation, CFO acquisition approval packages and support Baseline budgeting development and tracking. Conduct requested risk planning and mitigation support efforts. Support program management reviews, action tracking, schedule base lining and risk management efforts. Support required program status reporting such as OMB 300 documentation support.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 10 years experience with 4 of those years being direct technical project management related experience. Experience must demonstrate the evaluation of alternatives and an assessment of risk and costs. Experience must also reflect knowledge and competence in the management of programs that involved organizationally and geographically dispersed elements. Proficiency with MS Office 2003 and MS Project 2003. Bachelors Degree from an accredited university required. PMP certification desired and prior FAA related experience highly desired for this position.
