This project manager Position Features:
Requirement is for a hands-on Project Director responsible for managing one or more highly complex projects individually as well as and monitoring a group of Project Managers/projects within a program. This position is responsible for delivering a suite of applications development projects within a defined program and ensuring on-time/on-budget delivery for entire program. It will also require the candidate to become familiar with other strategic programs/projects currently underway.
Description:
Manage the day to day project activities for several intermediate-to-complex project(s), and/or inter-related projects within a program of projects.
Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Incorporate corporate project management standards, processes and procedures in support of all project activities.
Manage team relationships.
Act as business liaison partner with business sponsor and stakeholders to develop the business case, and provide input on tactical direction.
Communicate with senior management to manage expectations and build client relationships.
Develops project plans to budget, manages project change and project reporting.
Performs team assessments and evaluations.
Efficiently identifies and solves project and program issues.
Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
PMI certification preferred.
Property/Casualty insurance industry experience preferred.
Qualifications
8 or more years IT project management experience in an applications development arena.
4 or more years IT program management experience in an applications development arena.
