Project Manager (PM)- Steel Detailing with Tekla Structures V14
Location: Krakow, Poland. Applicant must be willing to move to Poland.
We required a project manager to oversee and manage the activities of a 20 person day shift and 15 person night shift. Project manager will be supported by a team leader and the department head of each detailing department within the team.
PM must communicate with clients regarding the ongoing activities of the detailing contract, must track financial contracts and extra work, and ensure projects are completed ontime and on budget.
PM must supervise the team leader and staff, to ensure that the detailing contracts are being completed with a high level of quality, and to the requirements of the client, ensuring hourly budget targets and schedules are being met.
95% of our clients are in the US and thus work hours are approximately 12AM to 9 PM to coincide with East Coast US timezone. Work location is in Krakow Poland, housing will be provided.
We use Tekla Structures V14. The PM must have the following skill set: Complete understanding of the steel detailing process and the capabilities of Tekla Structures. Ability to read and understand structural engineering drawings and apply these skills to supervise the activities of detailing staff to ensure errors are not made in the creation of fabrication drawings. Ability to discuss with clients all aspects of the structural engineering drawings, and determine scheduling impact from revised drawings during the course of completion of the detailing contract.
Ability to discuss financial progress on a contract with the client and resolve financial disputes, especially in regards to extra work or disputed contracts. Ability to communicate with US client Project Managers is paramount, as the creation and maintenance of a successful relationship with clients leads to further work.
Experience as a PM, or assistant PM, in the steel detailing business is mandatory.
