 Manages complex projects to deploy product and/or technology initiatives.  Provides guidance for other project managers in the PMO.  Participates in the continuous improvement of PMO standards, practices and tools.  Ensures adherence to project standards.

• Reviews and provides feedback on project deliverables and project management activities.
• Organizes, plans and controls projects to achieve plan.
• Identifies risks and risk plans; manages and mitigates risks.
• Anticipates issues and manages their resolution.

SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Defines, organizes, plans, leads, coordinates, controls and executes complex work efforts to deliver products to partners and customers within defined constraints for time, cost and quality/scope.
• Responsible for all aspects of design, development and deployment in assigned projects.
• Responsible for executing the following project management processes:
o Scope management - ensuring the project includes all work required for successful delivery.
o Plan management - developing project plan, including detailed work plans and estimates, and managing the project based on the plan.
o Time management - developing schedule and ensuring timely achievement of milestones.
o Cost management - developing budget and ensuring project is completed within budget.
o Quality management - ensuring that project outcomes meet requirements.
o Human resource management - identifying the appropriate knowledge and skills for project tasks and ensuring the effective use of human resources.
o Communications management - ensuring timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, storage and disposition of project information.
o Risk management - identifying, analyzing and responding to project risks.
o Metrics analysis - identifying, capturing, analyzing and improving key indicators of project success, and leveraging these to improve future projects.
• Conducts projects in compliance with the Product Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC) and other project standards.
• Participates in project audits conducted by the PMO or Experian's auditors.
• Maintains knowledge of ECD's products and internal business operations and related strategies.
• Supports and contributes to achieving company and departmental goals and objectives.
• Adheres to all company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Manages multiple projects simultaneously.
• Submits completed status reports (detailed, summary and executive level) in a timely manner.
• Proactively works project issues and keeps management informed about critical issues and their resolution.
• Actively participates in PMO team meetings and project update sessions.
• Some travel may be required.

 



• At least seven years of progressive experience in project management managing technology and product related projects.
• Strong leadership skills.

• At least two years experience in an internet products company, or two years experience with the development and deployment of e-commerce products over the internet.
• Bachelor's degree in business, project management or information technology.  (Master's degree preferred.)  Equivalent experience may be considered.
• PMP certification from the Project Management Institute preferred.
• Strong knowledge of, and hands-on experience with, project management methodologies, product/system development lifecycles and project management tools (specifically MS Project).
