Overview

The Project Manager of Technical Security will report to the Director of Infrastructure Services and will be responsible for providing project management leadership to the technology organization of CARFAX.  Duties will include security related projects, issues, and strategic planning for our enterprise. This role will interact closely with our Project Services Team in the development of best practices which meet and maintain ongoing compliance.  The Project Manager will be part of a team that develops and publishes systems policies and standards; performs security audits; ensures compliance with internal and external (e.g. PCI/DSS) regulations; and develops and delivers information security awareness and training content.

The position could work from either our Centreville, Virginia head quarters or from our data center which is located in Columbia, Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule cross functional resources and tasks in support of security initiatives.
• Facilitate and coordinate cross functional team tasks and activities based on defined schedules.
• Work quickly and efficiently to ensure project task accuracy and driving resolution of issues and constraints.
• Identify and resolve problems, project changes and resource constraints, escalating to management as necessary.
• Develop Business Processes and provide ongoing management through creation and improvement of process flows.
• Ongoing communication of planning, project status, issues and risks in a timely fashion.
• Work with external vendors to provide scheduled assessments, both vulnerability and penetration.
• Work with our payment card processor to ensure PCI/DSS compliance.

Position Requirements

• This role will require extensive travel between our Centreville, VA and Columbia, MO locations.
• A strong Operations or IT background, including experience in security related programs.
• Ability to handle a number of simultaneous projects and tasks while demonstrating urgency and ownership to drive issues to completion.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with other departments and varying levels of management.
• Must possess strong oral and written communication skills along with presentation skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Must be organized, goal oriented, and a self-starter.
• At least 3 years of technical project management.
• Preference given to those with PCI/DSS compliance experience.
• CISSP or CISA or other industry certifications will be considered a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
