Services in Winthrop, ME. However, the position has geographic flexibility within the continental U.S. The
primary function of this Project
Manager is to develop, analyze,
coordinate, and successfully
manage projects for major accounts
to meet divisional profitability
requirements and customer
satisfaction. Primary focus would
be on International Growth
Development. Perform general and
specific engineering duties
associated with the development of
an assigned project.
Assess feasibility and soundness
of proposed engineering
tests/products/equipment.
Incumbent must understand the
company's and competitor's
electrical, electronic, and
mechanical products and services.
Maintain awareness of new system,
technologies and engineering
techniques. Analyze potential
benefits, cost and make
recommendations for applications.
Delegate portions of projects to
others under his/her guidance as
assigned. Mentor Project Managers
and team leaders.
Inform supervisor/manager/key
stake holders regularly on work
progress, cost, risk, scope
redirection needs and stay in
collaboration with supervisor.
Keep informed and participates in
the design of power solutions and
systems to surpass competition in
total service quality and cost.
This shall include new, as well
as, existing capabilities.
Maintain effective relationships
with and service to customers.
Identify and assist in development
of prospective project
opportunities.
Interface and coordinate with
districts, plants and other
business units within the company
and outside vendors to procure
parts and services for the
assigned projects.
Facilitate teaming with districts
and departments to support multi-
district customers and or
industries.
Knowledge and practice of safety
precautions related to working
with electrical equipment is
required.
Manage projects to maximize
margins and minimize risk to the
division consisting of cost
estimate reviews. Maintain and
oversee accurate project cost and
schedule tracking.
Perform general and specific
engineering duties associated with
the development of an assigned
project. Follow MPG Process and
Procedures that have been
established and any other special
contract requirements.

Prepare monthly Operations reports
and assist in financial planning
and forecasting of Projects
assigned.
Oversee or execute sub-contract
agreements, change orders,
invoicing, order management,
project submittals, terms and
conditions, etc.

Employee performance evaluations and development
planning
Assist in the preparation of
proposals, including review of:
specifications, Terms &
Conditions, sub-contractor
selection, equipment selection and
overall cost structure.

Qualifications:
10-15 years of engineering
experience with recognized project
management ability, team
leadership, supervisory skills,
and progressive project
responsibility.
BS required in Engineering,
preferably, electrical,
mechanical, electrical technology
Must be proficient in electrical
distribution power systems,
including but not limited to:
power factor and transformer
testing, protective relay
calibration, circuit breaker
testing, commissioning of new
switchgear, troubleshooting and
diagnoses, repairs, preventative
maintenance, modification of
control schemes, electrical
schematics and wiring diagrams.
Must demonstrate skills in
communicating technical
information to non-technical
personnel, educating customers,
and presenting information to
internal and external customers.
Knowledge of Project Management
and able to complete project on
time. Project Management
Professional (PMP) is preferred.
Effective verbal & written
communications skills
Must have strong troubleshooting
skills; able to work in a cross-
functional/matrix organization.
Must posses the ability to work in
a fast paced multi-discipline team
environment and be able to handle
multiple tasks concurrently.
Must have knowledge of OSHA, state
and local safety rules and
regulations.
