Department

The Power Plant Engineering department is a part of Global Research in Aarhus, DK. The department delivers the electro-technical solutions enabling Vestas’ wind turbines to be Wind Power Plants: Equipment, analysis, concepts and designs.

The department runs R&D programmes and projects on new solutions and new technologies.

Responsibilities and Tasks

You will run R&D programmes and projects preparing Vestas’ wind power plant technologies for future requirements.

The responsibilities will include:

• Project management of research projects
• Communication with management and stakeholders
• Prepare projects for gate review
• Resource planning and allocation
• Report, follow up and maintain progress
• Keep deadlines and budgets
• Create IPR profile and portfolio

In addition you will assist to:

• Develop Vestas Technology’s roadmap
• Establish and maintain portfolio of strategic research projects
• Identify and build network through business and academic alliances
• Act as a resource person in project management knowledge

Qualifications and Work Experience

You are a competent and experienced project manager

• You have project management skills and documented 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar technical area.
• You have a technical background.
• You are conscious about quality and results.
• You act motivational and you find it easy to work with other people in a project organisation.
• You have experience with Change Management
• You have a high level of drive and you aim at constant challenges while maintaining a high and effective profile.
• You are always prepared to explore new ways to achieve results.
• You work structured and you are familiar with project management IT tools
• You have excellent communication skills in English, both orally and written.

Your experience is preferably gathered from applied research and business development in power generation, utility or T&D equipment supplier. You bring the ability to execute through strategic partnerships. You are result-oriented, you have strong communication skills and you are able to persuade people around you.
