Project Permitting Engineer

Bachelors Degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental Engineering. EIT or PE Registration. Extensive knowledge of government environmental regulations. Minimum of 10 years experience obtaining, maintaining, and revising environmental permits for heavy industrial facilities; with an emphasis on air permitting. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with facility operators and government regulators. Experience developing and maintaining environmental compliance programs, design and implementation of site investigations, and; design and implementation of remedial action programs is also required.

Job Description :
Position requires experienced engineering consultant to work with new and established industrial clients that produce regulated gases and particulates to obtain, maintain, and revise a full range of environmental permits for facility construction and operations. There is an emphasis on air permitting, however; the position requires ability to work with multimedia, permitting and compliance issues. Incumbent will gather information and analyze industrial processes and site surrounding area environmental conditions; collect data, perform calculations in accordance with established scientific protocols, prepare reports; develop conceptual engineering drawings; make presentations to industrial facility customers and regulators; and assist with compliance agreement negotiations with regulators.
