Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. 

EXPERIENCE:

Engineer with 2-10 years of relevant capital project experience in the chemical process industry.

The engineer will be an integral part of the project team of a greenfield chemical manufacturing facility.  The project website is www.snfplaquemine.com

The responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to development of material and energy balances, sizing and specification of equipment, piping, and valves as related to existing processes and new projects.  The process/project engineer will also be expected to assist in the management of projects, oversight of construction activities, and lead start-up activities related to new projects and process installations.  The process/project engineer is expected to work with production personnel in the troubleshooting of technical issues of existing processes

These experiences are deemed to be beneficial, but not necessarily all essential.

• Engineering of processes handling flammable and combustible liquids
• Engineering of processes handling solids
• Engineering of process utilities
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
• Participation in PHA’s
• Construction oversight, especially green field.
• Plant commissioning
• Primavera project management software
• Yokogawa CS 3000 control system

POSITION:

The position will report to Engineering Manager or Project Manager. 

LOCATION

Plaquemine, Lousiana

Engagement would be initially in Riceboro, Georgia for an indefinite period of time, but likely to be 6-9 months.  Riceboro is 25 miles south of Savannah.
