Description:
Survey and analyze current processes and procedures; design, develop and implement global, standard and normalized project management processes and procedures.
Evaluate current project and development practices, define gap between current and best practices.
Develop transformation plan to achieve best practices and increase capability level in project and development practices.
Evaluate current testing and quality assurance practices, define gap between current and best practices.
Evaluate current resource planning processes, define gap between current and best practices.
Serves as the overall subject-matter expert in Project Management knowledge areas.
Establishes and promotes industry-recognized project management standards.
Develops and maintains a standard PM process and methodology specifically for IT projects.
Establishes and maintains a central repository for PM tools, templates, and historical data.
Establishes and maintains a program for monitoring and reporting on compliance to adopted PMO policies, processes, and procedures.
Provides a program to ensure continued utilization and maturation of best practice project management standards and methodologies.
Helps ensure the growth and success of project managers and their teams by providing mentoring and training in the established processes, policies, and procedures as well as PM tools and templates.
Evaluates and recommends project management tools and resources.
Reviews projects within the project management framework.
Proactively assists in defining direction for future projects.
Liaison with key project personnel to capture latest delivery status and future delivery projections.
Additional duties as defined by the Chief Information Officer.
