Property Book, Medical Supply Technician
Description:
Employee shall provide property warehousing and accountability services in support of WARMC and NARMC Medical Facilities.
-Provide general and special purpose property book storage functions to include operations of warehouses. Shall warehouse items in support of the following programs and missions: Sensitive Items, Bed Exchange Program, Temporary Storage of Gym Equipment, Omni Cell, Turn-Ins at Ft Meade, Hold For Exchange (Vendor), Hold For Lateral Transfer, Hold for Excess, and Special Projects.
-Review and validate reports to include: Report of Excess Equipment, Serial Number Sequence Listing, Excess "B Items without Condition Code Report. Update PBO and customer Hand Receipts to reflect property transactions. Provide documentation pertaining to CEEP/MEDCASE projects to the organization responsible for site preparation.
Work involves most/all of the following:
-Receive, unload, unpack, inspect, accept, and store property for WARMC and NARMC Medical Facilities. Reconcile, and document quantities, national stock numbers, catalog numbers, nomenclatures, due-outs, and all other administrative actions necessary to establish accountability. Shall document short, over, and damaged conditions of incoming items; investigate discrepancies resulting from shipment damage, loss, price change, and other irregularities; and coordinate with the respective shipping firms and/or vendors to resolve discrepancies. Verify that DA Form 3953, DA Form 3161, and SF 1449 are consistent, and provide copies of the receipt and SF 1449 to the personnel coordinating site preparation and maintaining the CEEP/MEDCASE equipment files.
-Coordinate and schedule property deliveries with supported customers. Coordinate and document requests for pre-issue Technical Inspections (TI). Maintain all original documentation pertaining to property/equipment issues/turn-ins, and shall update the property database with the applicable document numbers, dates, and other pertinent data.
-Obtain the Hand Receipt holders signature on the automated Hand Receipt transaction register generated by DMLSS before officially transferring accountability to the Hand Receipt holder.
-Warehouse property pending issue and disposition. Store unique items for special response teams, to include pastoral counseling, veterinary, bio-terrorism, and disaster support. Establish and maintain a dual key Control System with the designated special response team POC.
-Issue and deliver property to supported customers. Provide property transportation services to include returns to depots, deliveries to off-post customers, deliveries to other storage sites, and redistribution. Package, mark, tag, and over-pack equipment in containers suitable for issue/shipment.
-Provide property turn-in services for supported customers, to include receiving, inspecting, classifying, and processing for redistribution or removal from Property Book records. Verify that items being turned-in are on the Hand Receipt of the requesting activity, and that turn-in documentation is complete.
-Coordinate disposal actions with the appropriate installation maintenance, transportation, and material management activity, and the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) for timely disposal.
Qualifications:
Computer savvy i.e. Microsoft Applications; Logistics background, Property Book i.e Hand Receipts, DMLSS skilled
Military Medical Logistics desired
