Our client is a well respected Property and Casualty Insurance Company that has an immediate opening in the New Jersey area for a property claims field adjuster or a senior property field adjuster with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the investigation and resolution of property claims.
You must have the ability to write estimates for routine personal and commercial fire and related losses, be adept at analyzing policy forms, and work well under direction.
The book of business consists primarily of apartments, restaurants and small retail establishments.
This is a new position due to expansion and will complement our existing claims operation. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in both personal and commercial lines.
This position is responsible for property claims in the Metro – New York area including Manhattan and surrounding tri-state territory and will report to the New York Office located in the city.

Requirements 1. College degree and/or equivalent experience with professional designations preferred 2. Minimum of two (2) years of property claims adjusting experience demonstrating progressive levels of responsibility. 3. Knowledge of current case law, statutory law, DOI regulations, etc. that apply to claims practices and issues within the territory of operation. 4. Ability to scope and estimate damage. 5. Ability to interpret routine and complex policy contracts in all lines. 6. Demonstrates sound analytical skills in all lines. 7. Ability to negotiate effectively and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form. 8. Must maintain a current valid driver's license in state of employment. 9. Ability to work effectively with company personnel, agency personnel, legal counsel, and others with whom our business is associated. 10. Ability to plan, organize and establish priorities to maintain various responsibilities under critical deadlines. 11. Ability to identify potential sources of subrogation/recovery in 1st and 3rd party claims respectively. |
