We are seeking a dynamic Property Manager for our new community located in Cambridge, MD.  This career is for a high energy, experienced property management professional with a proven track record of lease up success.


In this position with the Shelter Group you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and lease-up of this new 96-unit Garden-style community. You will be working directly with the staff to maintain physical asset while controlling expenses; interacting with residents on a daily basis; and coaching a team of Shelter associates.

 

The right candidates for this position will have:

 

  • Minimum 3 years property management experience or management experience in a related field, at least 2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Certified Occupancy Specialist Certification or equivalent and experience, or ability to obtain certification.
  • Tax Credit Specialist Certification or equivalent and experience, or ability to obtain certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing and leasing.
  • Strong communication/management skills; including the ability to articulate problems/resolutions effectively with peers/supervisors.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills at both a strategic/functional level.
  • Ability to manage expenses within budget, and increase net operating income of community.
  • Proficiency in MS Office/property management software.
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Possess/maintain valid in-state driver’s license.
