Property Manager

Manage all daily operations of a large (231 units) Section 8 apartment community located in Peoria, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain acceptable levels of occupancy (minimum 95%).


• Develop and implement a marketing plan for the community.


• Ensure required move-in and move-out paperwork is completed according to governing regulations.


• Ensure rental unit inspections (move-in, occupied, annual, and move-out) are completed in a timely manner.


• Ensure collections of all monies due to the community (i.e. rent) are received.


• Maintain positive relationships with the community owner/s and its residents.


• Completion of reports required by government agencies, administrators, or the company.


• Responsible to maintaining the community to company standards.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.  2– 4 years previous Property Management experience.  Section 8 experience preferred.  Basic knowledge of accounting and budgeting.  Ability to organize and schedule work of employees. Must possess a valid drivers’ license.  Should possess basic knowledge of applicable laws and regulations governing public housing.  Should possess proficiency in operating a computer and Microsoft Office Products.
