We are seeking a Manager, Psychiatric Acute Services for a hospital located on the beautiful shore of Lake Ontario. 

The Manager will have overall responsibility for the department and responsibility for the planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation of programs, services, and treatment for the Psychiatric Acute patient.  The Manager has responsibility for overall direction, coordination of mental health services for the Psychiatric Acute Unit, assists in the development of division goals and objectives, and maintains effective interface within Behavioral Services Division, all other hospital divisions, various agencies, and the community.  The position has 50 direct reports, 36 FTE’s; a $5.8 million budget and reports to the Associate Administrator for Behavioral Services.

The hospital is in an area that offers sailing, power boating, nearby sandy beaches, and world-class sport fishing.

Requirements:

-          Licensed RN with the ability to gain New York licensure

-          Masters degree in psychiatric nursing preferred

-          3 - 5 years progressive clinical and management experience on a psychiatric unit or a Bachelor’s degree and 5 - 7 years progressive clinical and management experience in caring for mental health patients
