Psychologists (Adult Mental Health) - Diagnose or evaluate behavioral, emotional and cognitive disorders through observation, interview and psychological tests. Applies theory relating to behavior and mental processes to formulate and administer programs of treatment that may include counseling, therapy and research. Helps clients work toward the maintenance and enhancement of physical, intellectual, emotional, social and interpersonal functioning.
Forensic Psychologist: Performs forensic evaluation of individuals referred by the Criminal Courts, including mental status assessments, psychological testing, assessment of competency to stand trial and criminal responsibility. Prepares reports to the courts and attorneys, and provides expert testimony. As needed, provides treatment recommendations, risk assessments and other general consultative services to the Forensic Program Preferred qualifications: At least one year experience conducting Competency to Stand Trial evaluations. At least one year experience conducting Criminal Responsibility evaluations. Experience providing court testimony. Significant experience in the area of Forensic Psychology
Assistant Psychology Chief: Peer data mentoring position. Monthly monitoring of a fixed sample of all psychology assessments and documentation, Data-based mentoring of psychologists on all assessments and documentation, Monthly monitoring of a fixed sample of Initial and Individualized Recovery Planning process (RPTC Observations, IRP Clinical Chart Audit, Data-based mentoring of recovery planning teams, Entering monitoring data into the Plato software, Undertaking inter-rater agreement checks with other monitors Evaluating quality of a fixed sample of mall groups facilitated by psychologists. Ph.D or Psy.D in clinical psychology or counseling psychology or equivalent related field AND significant supervisory experience.
