












The Women, Children, and Families Program within the Health, Social and Economics Research Unit of RTI has an immediate opening for a Public Health and Reproductive Health Analyst. The individual filling this position will participate in ongoing research projects related to family planning and reproductive health, as well as projects related to health services and social policy research more generally. The position is based at RTI International in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
Responsibilities
* Perform analysis of survey and other quantitative data (e.g., national surveys) and assist with validation, tabulation and analysis of administrative data from the Family Planning Annual Report
* Assist with preparation of project reports, project deliverables, manuscripts and grant/contract proposals
* Collect, code, and analyze qualitative data
* Conduct literature reviews and revise and write critical summaries of research literature and/or public policy
* Manage correspondence and project communications with clients, partner agencies, and others
* Lead project tasks commensurate with skills and experience
* Some travel required
Qualifications
* Masters degree
* Prior work or research experience related to reproductive health care, particularly family planning.
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Ability to manage and prioritize multiple and competing tasks and to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and communicate findings in an effective manner
* Experience or coursework in program monitoring, performance measurement (e.g., indicator development), and evaluation
* Knowledge of SAS or other standard statistical software
* Ability to represent RTI's and the projects' interests in all interactions with clients, partner agencies, and others
Preferred Skills:
* Experience and interest working on performance measurement of health systems, including validation and analysis of administrative data
* Experience working with or within the Title X family planning program
* Knowledge of health information technology (IT)
* Experience or coursework in conducting qualitative research
* Experience using qualitative data software
* Spanish language skills***
