Established in 1968, Harbor Freight Tools is a fast growing, well established privately held retail company opening stores across the United States.  We currently operate over 330 stores in 44 states.  We are seeking a Public Relations/Marketing Communications Manager to join our growing Marketing Department in Camarillo, CA. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Public Relations/Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for managing and executing marketing and PR initiatives. Marketing and public relations manager will be expected to develop and execute various marketing and PR strategies. 

• Develop and implement communication strategies for public relations, advertising and internet marketing
• Prepare and communicate strategic recommendations to management
• Make sure sales and marketing materials are consistent with corporate messaging standards and objectives
• Manage industry visibility through trade shows, industry conference participation, webinars, podcasts and roundtables
• Review and manage company website content; help build traffic to site and grow brand awareness
• Develop and maintain competitive information in current markets or markets of interest
• Manage within allocated PR budget
• Develop tracking tools
• Create and manage external newsletters
• Manage press releases, media outreach and coverage
• Manage company social network sites
  

Education and/or Experience:

• 7 -10 years of marketing and public relations experience serving as a marketing and/or public relations manager. 
• BS degree in Marketing Communications
• Capable of developing strategy, executing tactics
• Working independently to create, launch and manage marketing and PR programs (within a limited budget)
• Outstanding communication, management and leadership skills.  
• Candidate should also have the ability to manage multiple projects.
