Sales Support
We are a privately held jewelry wholesaler headquartered in New York. We cater primarily to large department stores and major jewelry store chains.
Position Summary:
We are actively seeking a sales professional to assist our Sales Teams with our accounts. Direct and coordinate the daily operations of the Sales Support in order to maintain and service accounts. The job is highly analytical and involves extensive work with creating, maintaining and analyzing sales reports.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day interaction with the accounts’ jewelry buyers.
- Provide excellent customer service on order processing to ensure on-time shipments.
- Interacting with Merchandisers, Quality Control Inspectors and other internal departments to ensure that the customer’s specifications and needs are met.
- Prepare for customer meetings and presentations.
Requirements:
· Education and/or Experience-
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent and 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training.
- Jewelry Industry Experience/Knowledge
- Communication with buying office
- Manufacturing Experience
- Retail Experience Preferred
- Language Skills:
- Read, analyze, and interpret documents according to company standards.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
- Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or the business community.
- Write effectively and conform to prescribed styles, formats and grammatical requirements.
- Follow verbal instructions.
- Mathematical Skills:
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Use aforementioned skill set to formulate and evaluate pricing.
- Reasoning Ability:
- Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Work with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Work independently as well as in a team.
- Other Abilities/Skills:
- PC/Computer Skills – Word, Excel, Outlook (required), AS400 (a plus)
