This position will be based in the Washington D.C. area.
- The Public Relations Senior Manager will work closely with Deloitte's Federal Government Services leaders, senior partners, principals and directors and staff across the U.S. firms to plan, lead and execute public relations programs.
- The PR Senior Manager will work closely with trade and business media to build eminence in support of the business.
- The PR manager will also direct the activities of an outside PR agency.
- They will lead public relations initiatives, oversee media relations, media training, speaking engagements, presentation training, story development, press releases, survey results and other PR-related activities.
- The successful candidate is a team player, creative thinker and proactive practitioner who can work at both
strategic and tactical levels to deliver high-value PR programs.
- A Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, public relations or journalism, is required.
- 12+ years of relevant PR experience at a PR agency or at a corporation.
- Minimum 5 years of Federal Government/Public Sector experience.
- PR agency experience.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and professional client service manner.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management.
