Job Description

 

The Integrated Sales Support (ISS) program provides in-house proposal management, editorial, graphics and production capabilities for the Public Service North America Operating Unit.  The ISS Desktop Publishing Specialist will assist with graphics and art in proposal volumes associated with a sales campaign for the Federal, State and/or Local Government sectors. The specialist will assist graphics leads with conceptualizing selling messages into compelling art within proposal guidelines, including selected text, tables and graphics in designated volumes or sections of a proposal.

 

Responsibilities may include:

 

  • Develop proposal graphics based on design provided by client teams
  • Perform desktop publishing tasks for proposals
  • Maintain standards of all inbound, outbound, draft and final graphics and art
  • Maintain repository of all graphics and art, accessible by proposal team; responsible for version control
  • Ensure all graphics and art are designed and/or updated to meet color palette criteria
  • Assist with electronic publishing for all required material, including requirements, status reports and quality reviews
  • Act as Lead Graphics Designer for smaller opportunities; collaborate with other graphic artists on larger opportunities
  • Work effectively in high-pressure environment while maintaining a professional presence at all times
  • Ensure proposal artifacts are secured at all times
  • Up to 50% travel required

 

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • 2 years of graphic design/development experience specifically related to proposal response development
  • 2 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat)
  • 2 years of experience in Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Word desktop publishing capabilities
  • 2 years of demonstrated understanding of procurement requests, such as RFIs, RFPs, Industry Days
  • 18 months of experience with desktop publishing for a large Federal contractor

 

Preferred Skills:

 

  • Ability to standardize templates from RFP, RFI, RFQ, and SOW guidelines
  • Knowledge of 4-color process, typography basic web design
  • Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) certification
