The Health & Public Service operating group serves health organizations, government agencies, institutions and nonprofit organizations worldwide providing a broad range of consulting, technology, system integration and business processing services.

 

Service Delivery professionals are responsible for providing service delivery across the breadth of offerings such as accounting, information technology, application development and maintenance, helpdesk services, procurement, learning and training, and human resources. The work that is performed by our delivery professionals may serve one or more clients concurrently and they may be located directly at a client site or within our global delivery network.

 

Job Description

 

The Operations Specialist will be accountable for supporting the interface between two large federal biometric systems by providing support to the reporting team in regards to all reports related to the interface, acting as Subject Matter Expert and point-of-contact to all stakeholders regarding interface components, and providing release support related to modifications to interface components.

 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assists in the identification, assessment and resolution of complex issues/problems related to interface components and reports
  • Interacting with client/users around specific work efforts/deliverables related to the interface
  • Coordinating the efforts a small team of individuals to troubleshoot issues with the interface components
  • Educating remaining team members on the technology contained in interface components through knowledge-sharing and documentation
  • Providing occasional 24x7 pager support

 

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, systems engineering, computer network engineering, or other related area or four years of additional work experience in lieu of a degree
  • 1 year of operations support work experience
  • 1 year of Database experience (Oracle preferred)
  • 1 year of experience working in a UNIX and/or Microsoft development environments
  • 1 year of experience with one or a combination of SQL, SQL Plus, and/or PL/SQL

 

Preferred Skill:

  • Working knowledge of technology architecture, technology configuration and deployment
