POSITION INFORMATION:

This is a very unique purchasing position where 80% of your time you will be wearing a hard hat visiting construction sites.  The relationships you build with the Project Leader and Sub Contractors will enable you to showcase your purchasing skills.  The on-site leaders will rely on your knowledge to deliver the materials in a JIT format to complete the project on time and in budget.  The organization will then rely on your FAR knowledge to maintain government compliance and act as the department FAR expert.

You will also be given the opportunity to use your vendor negotiating skills, logistics and electrical product knowledge of (gears and transformers, lighting and miscellaneous electrical products i.e. piping, cables, boxes fittings).

Base income is commensurate with experience, with a full fringe benefits program.  Relocation assistance is available.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        B.A. or B.S. Degree

·        Commercial Construction knowledge

·        Background in purchasing electrical products

·        FAR or DFAR knowledge

·        Minimum of 5 years of experience
