About the Job


Summary


The responsibilities of the position consist of managing the daily procurement requirements for residential production within a custom modular construction setting. 


 


Education/Experience:


1.      College graduate.


2.      Experience in residential construction and/or building products.


3.      Purchasing experience is required.


4.      Estimating experience is preferred.


5.      Knowledge of Andersen IQ, Silverline IQ, Merillat M2OE, Timberline Estimating is preferred

Essential Job Functions:


1.      Daily review of Production Orders, Plans and Project Specifications to ensure accurate order placement of all fixtures/options required in residential construction (per ordering category)


2.      Execute detailed and accurate purchase orders for all items required per job


3.      Daily tracking of job specific orders to ensure timely delivery


4.      Daily communication with plant Receiving Department to ensure job-specific items are accounted for accurately at the time of arrival


5.      Daily updating of company reporting tools which detail order status, expected delivery dates, and total order costs


6.      Daily tracking of back-ordered items and providing proactive communication to plant Receiving Department to ensure items eventual arrival


7.      Product return logistics to ensure any products we can return to supplier’s for credit are done so on a timely basis with accounting follow up to ensure due credit is received


8.      Daily coding of delivery tickets with invoices and issuing to Accounts Payable


9.      Assist in item price maintenance in estimating database


10.  Assist in pricing request for option specific items


11.  Daily interaction with company supply base


12.  Assist in the development of cost-effective, high performing supplier’s


13.  Check status on Every Project, Every Product, Every Day
