Uline seeks a Sr. Purchasing Analyst at its Corporate Headquarters in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin (north of Chicago).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate existing purchasing and inventory strategies and logic to improve service levels.
• Assist Operations with modeling of specific “what-if” scenarios. Use data mining tools to identify problems and present actionable solutions.
• Support or adapt existing database and spreadsheet applications and tools. Develop new ones as required.
• Prepare forecasts for seasonal products.
• Provide data analysis and reporting as assigned, including internal-use and backorder analysis.
• Create processes and reporting in SQL / Access environments as prototypes for mainframe programming.
• Act as liaison between Purchasing / Operations and IT as required.
• Perform other projects and analyses as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong written / verbal communication, organizational and time-management skills.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel a must.
• Proficient in Microsoft Access and SQL strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of purchasing / inventory / operational processes preferred.
• Experience in spreadsheet automation using Visual Basic for Application (VBA) desired.
• Proven AS/400 experience.
