An Automotive related manufacturing Company in Torrance, CA is seeking a qualified Purchasing Specialist.

Position Title:   Purchasing Specialist

Department:     Purchasing

Location:         Torrance, CA

FLSA Status:    Non-exempt

                      Long Term Temporary

Salary:             $50K - $60/yr

Business Hour:   Mon – Fri; 8:30am – 5:30pm

Description:

This job description is inclusive of, but is not necessarily limited to the following:

·         Responsible for researching and ordering design model parts, materials, and other necessary items

·         Work closely with teams and other departments to discuss specifications.

·         Research, analyze, and evaluate suppliers.

·         Communicate and negotiate with existing and potential suppliers.

·         Responsible for preparing and conducting bids.

·         Facilitate contracts with attention to details.

Requirements:

·         2 ~ 4 years of purchasing experience with Bachelor’s Degree in related field

or 6 ~ 8 years of equivalent experience without degree.

·         Procurement/ Purchasing experience in manufacturing environment is strongly preferred

·         Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills

·         Proficient with Microsoft applications; Word, Excel and PowerPoint

·         SAP knowledge is a plus
