Position Description

QA Analyst

For almost 70 years, our client has been providing health care coverage and is one of the largest and oldest health insurance companies in the area. You too can be a part of this tradition of excellence.

For more than six decades, they have provided exceptional coverage for their customers and have an immediate opening for a QA Analyst.

Description:

Responsible to ensure the application software meets the highest quality standards possible by following industry recognized QA methodologies and best practices.  The candidate will participate in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and will be responsible for analyzing user requirements and functional specifications, extracting testing requirements, creating strategic test plans, writing and executing test cases, and analyzing and documenting the results.  The candidate will also assess automated testing needs and develop, execute, and maintain automated components and scripts used for smoke, functional, and regression testing.  The ideal candidate will be able to create and execute System, Integration, and User Acceptance test plans and test scripts.  Will also act as a Lead for test activities.


Position Requirements:


  • Experience in Software Development Lifecycle, QA methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with manual and automated testing principles.
  • Experienced using automated test tools (Quick Test Pro and Quality Center preferred).
  • Minimum of 3+ years software testing experience.  
  • An Engineering or Computer Science degree or an equivalent combination of education and        experience.
  • Proficient in at least one programming language (VB preferred).
  •  A Healthcare background.

 

Experience that will set you apart from other applicants:



Experience with software migration procedures.
Software Test Certification (ASTQB, CASQ, CAST, etc)
