Overview

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for manual and automated testing of key systems to ensure success of the release of new applications on Acceller’s Digital Commerce Platform with special focus on backend systems.  The QA Analyst should be a key driver on the implementation of backend automation that will be used for automated regression testing. The successful QA Analyst will work closely with development, business and other teams to coordinate and complete functional and regression testing prior to the release into production.

 

Accountabilities

 

The successful candidate will have a history of success and will be specifically tasked with the following objectives:

 

  • Executing a specified % of automated testing of key systems
  • Create and maintain a specific number of test scripts and entire sets of test suites for Digital Commerce applications (including front-end and back-end)
  • Creating and maintaining a certain number of Selenium automation regression and functional test scripts and test suites
  • Creating and maintaining a certain number of SQL automation regression and functional test scripts
  • Executing automated regression test suites to ensure that new functionality has not affected other parts of the application on a pre-determined schedule
  • Defining efficient test strategies, including employing existing automation solutions or defining new ones for every release
  • Analyzing test results and translate them into measurable metrics after each release
  • The design, plan, document and implement of a comprehensive suite of Test Matrixes and Test Scenarios for GUI and Server-side regression testing at the end of every release
  • Generating automated tests for different test scenarios, covering all aspects of project functionality for all test assignments
  • Conducting system functionality testing, develop and execute test cases, produce problem reports, suggestions, system test logs, and test incident reports 
  • Working with the development team on investigating and correcting software bugs and testing new software modifications for each release
  • Complete testing on time 100% of the time and be able to release critical and major bug free releases to production

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of Software Quality Assurance experience preferably in an online environment
  • At least 3 years of experience in test automation using Eclipse, Selenium or commercial tools
  • 3-5 years of experience writing test cases, test planning, test execution, and test results analyses and troubleshooting
  • 3-5 years of  experience conducting performance and other functional and non-functional automated testing for major releases
  • 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance Methodologies and QA Role in both traditional Waterfall and Agile environments. At least a year of experience in an Agile environment is required
  • 3-5 years of database side / backend testing experience using MS SQL
  • Firm comprehension of Web technology, application and browser issues
  • Excellent understanding of software development life-cycle
  • Ability to write and understand SQL queries to perform data verification and set up test data
  • Proficient in functional, regression, system integration (SIT), acceptance (UAT), load/performance, security and end to end testing
  • Ability to write object oriented code in Java and/or C-Sharp
  • Solid experience writing scripts in Selenium, JUnit, testNG, Ruby, Watin or other commercial or open source tools
  • Solid experience with Web Service Testing Automation using SOAPUI, JMeter or other commercial or open source tools
  • A get it done attitude
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Required
