QA Engineer (Localization & Automation)

Our software helps you reduce the time, cost and risk associated with managing your IT operations by automating your IT processes. Automated processes may include incident resolution, change orchestration and routine maintenance tasks that are standardized and documented in a manner that enforces ITIL and compliance processes.. As part of the Business Service Automation group within HP Software, our product combines with an array of other HP Software products to deliver an unbeatable solution to meet customer needs.
 
Responsibilities
Our team is looking for a seasoned engineer to work as a senior tester. Areas will include localization (Japanese), automation, and hands-on testing. We need someone who has the experience to architect new test frameworks and extend our existing ones. You will become a functional expert in key areas of the product and then build automation around those areas, as well as testing to support localized versions of our product.
 
Each engineer on the Operations Orchestration team owns a high impact part of the product and is responsible for every step from the design and building, to shipping and maintenance. This position will require interaction between all members of the engineering team as well as working with Dev, Support, Documentation, Product Management, and customers. You will be responsible for the success of your area of ownership.

• 5+ years of QA experience with at least 2 years of working in automation


• Fluency in Japanese


• Experience in architecting test platforms and frameworks


• Possess a solid understanding of testing methodologies in an Agile development environment


• Working knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably Java)


• Working knowledge of at least one scripting language


• Demonstrated proficiency in one or more testing tools in either: functional testing, performance testing, java test tools, web app test tools, security tools.


• Solid use of bug tracking systems


• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with customers, teammates, and other internal organizations


• Results driven, flexible, and self-motivated


• B.S. Computer Science or equivalent experience
