Position Description: • Identify, define, implement and maintain all required processes, tools, test environments, and resource model to operate the QA function • Responsible for creating, reviewing and approving overall test plan strategy documents • Coordinate and manage testing in pre-production and/or parallel environments • Coordinate project managers / application development managers in end-to-end testing activities • Provide continuous education to development team on correctly engaging QA processes • Ensure Entrance/Exit criteria are identified prior to QA start for specific projects • Responsible for creation and maintenance of test execution schedules, ensuring sure tests are delivered to schedule, budget & quality • Responsible for continuous improvement sessions after completion of project • Offshore team management experience
Skills Required: • Bachelor’s / Masters degree, preferably Computer Science or related engineering degree • Minimum 3 years of managing QA team and project management • Minimum 8 years of hands on QA experience writing test scripts, test plans, and test reports • Extensive depth and breadth with a wide range of distributed technologies including Linux, Web Services, Relational databases (Sybase, DB2 and MS SQL) • Experience with functional testing of all tiers of a multi-tier distributed application, including UI, middleware/messaging and database layers • Understanding of IT Security and Entitlement management principles • Extensive experience in the practical application of testing methodology • Extensive hands-on experience with test automation, monitoring and tracking tools • Working knowledge of Mercury Test Suite of applications • Strong people management, relationship and communications skills • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently in a fast paced environment • Experience in working geographically dispersed teams • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy, demanding and team-oriented environment • Self motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership and accountability
