QA Release Manager
About the Job
Procom Services is currently seeking a QA Release Coordinator for a 6 month contract position based in Falmouth, Maine. This position requires the following:
The QA Release Coordinator will oversee the test activities during the testing life cycle of the project. The contractor will ensure that the applications are stable and defect free before releasing to subsequent levels of testing or production, continuously increasing the level of code quality. This person will work closely with the ETL Developers
Responsibilities:
• Manage the testing and various environment (i.e. Dev. UAT, QA & PRD) activities.
• Be responsible for developing test strategies and test plans.
• Perform detailed project testing estimate and planning.
• Ensure that project is in compliance with SDLC processes.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements
• Work closely with the various Project Managers and Testers during test cycles and deployment
• Perform risk mitigation activities, escalating unresolved issues.
• Manage the configuration and implementation of test data.
• Work closely with the various team’s in creation of the test cases/test scripts appropriate to the project
• Manage the defect management process
• Work closely with the Release Coordinator in overseeing the creation and approval of change tickets
• Ensure that the systems testing exit criteria have been met prior to hand-over to subsequent phases of testing
SKILLS:
• 4+ yrs of HP Quality Center Experience
• Strong QA background and leadership in QA methodologies
• Knowledge of software development life cycle and testing phases
• Background in development environment
• People management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
