Individual contributor position responsible for performing functions to maintain quality management systems; to assure product quality meets or exceeds governmental, enterprise, and customer expectations of quality requirements and performance. Position is responsible for assuring finished products meet quality requirements following launch and throughout lifecycle of product. Works directly with suppliers to determine quality management plans to meet established specifications. Facilitates development of appropriate product launch plans and prepares appropriate reports/analysis to initiate appropriate action when data indicates non-compliance. Provides appropriate quality standards and specifications to contract manufacturers. Collaborates with suppliers and appropriate cross functional teams to assure compliance to quality requirements.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

Quality Control Issue Management (20%)

' Perform QC evaluations on individual products.

' Perform inspections on product.

' Evaluate test data gathered or received by supplier for compliance to stds.

' Collect and record data using basic measuring tools.

' Facilitate inspections on product qtys.

' Evaluate data for trends leading to Corrective Actions.

' Able to use and teach use of basic QC measuring tools.

' Facilitate programs to reduce QC work.



QA Program Execution (60%)

' Lead in new project risk assessment (product, design, package, etc) to evaluate risks and initiate contingency plans.

' Partner with the brands to understand QA needs and form alignment with the business goals.

' Monitor and manage post launch quality performance.

' Provide technical and investigative support to vendors and cross-functional partners.

' Assist in scale-up production and implementation of new and reformulated products.

' Investigate process or product deviations and implement corrective actions



Vendor Performance (20%)

' Provide technical support to worldwide contract manufacturing operations.

' Communicate Quality Assurance policies and procedures to vendors and internal cross-functional partners.

' Monitor vendor compliance to Quality Assurance requirements.

' Support vendors as needed for pre-production and production issues.

' Monitor vendor's performance and troubleshoot issues to drive continuous improvement.

' Attend first production runs at vendors and perform in-line process inspections.

' Perform inspections of merchandise to determine acceptability of product and compliance to specifications.



Talent Management and Development

' Create individual development plan and personal performance objectives

' Assist in Onboarding new associates

' 2 - 5 years quality management experience on multiple product lines.

' Experience in quality planning, project management, quality control processes, statistical techniques and GMP.

' Demonstrated problem solving skills.

' Comfortable performing multifaceted projects along with day-to-day activities

' Ability to establish credibility and be decisive

' Service oriented but assertive and persuasive

' Able to interact with all levels of personnel and management (internally or externally)

' Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

' Demonstrate ability to work effectively within a team environment.

' Ability to travel (30 to 40%) domestically and internationally.

EDUCATION:

' Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical or Natural Sciences.
