ISCS seeks a QA automation engineer to join some of the insurance industry's brightest minds in developing an advanced Web-based property and casualty insurance automation software solution. You will be responsible for quality assurance of SurePower Innovation^® within the Product Development team.

ISCS has a 15-year history developing software solutions for the P&C insurance market. We also have a history of introducing new technologies to the insurance industry. We are a small company with a significantly market-relevant product in a strong industry poised to replace old technology, a secure revenue stream, and a quickly growing sales pipeline.

Overall responsibility

QA Automation Engineers work within the product development (R&D) team to understand features and create robust comprehensive test plans to verify SurePower Innovation^® functionality. Within this team of engineers, everyone participates in test driven development, but you will focus on developing automated tests in partnership with developers for continuous regression testing.

Demonstrated experience and skills required

• In-depth knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming and automation testing
• Functional manual/automated ("black box") testing of features which includes writing a detailed testing plan and testing cases to cover product features.
• Ensure error handling and boundary conditions work as designed.
• Utilize automation tools such as Selenium, FitNesse and JUnit to write automated tests.
• Attention to detail and the understanding of how to find flaws in complex software features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field (or foreign equivalent)
• Four plus (4+) years experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Development
• Experience with Java, SQL, and JUnit.
• Experience writing automated tests (not just record / playback) in tools such as Selenium and FitNesse (Preferred)
• Experience with Web-based enterprise software applications
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environment
• Detail-oriented and self-disciplined, with strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
