QA Tester
CBTS is currently recruiting for a Software QA Analyst. The Quality Assurance Analyst’s role is to develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures for information technology services within the IT organization. Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and established guidelines. Conduct performance testing using the available tools to measure system performance, threshold levels and latency for various systems. Major Responsibilities: 1) Develop, maintain and conduct test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems and operations systems. Document test results, corrective actions required and log defects/issues for resolution. 2) Develop, maintain and execute automated test plans and scripts for functional testing and regression testing. 3) Develop, maintain and execute automated test plans and scripts for performance and stress testing in multiple environments. 4) Creates and maintains data set and hardware, configurations consistent with test specification and test procedures. 5) Apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives. 6) Monitor program performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation. 7) Support internal IT Change Control procedures, provide quality systems review of applicable changes. 8) Assist in development of validation/systems compliance training on systems compliance initiatives; provide continuing compliance education support to the organization. 9) Identifies differences between established standards and user applications and suggests modifications to conform to standards. 10) Provide accurate and timely status reporting as required by the Manager and corporate management including task and time reporting. 11) Perform Software Quality Assurance Reviews throughout Requirements Phase to UAT and provide corrective actions to ensure effective bug-free releases. Position Description Investigate new releases or programs to understand key upgrade risks and develop appropriate testing materials. Evaluating test artifacts to ensure, compliance to ITS processes (review and determine effectiveness, completeness, accuracy, when to escalate to management, etc.) Evaluating Change Management documents and contents to ensure compliance to change management and repository guidelines Minimum Education & Certifications Required: Bachelors degree – Prefer, Bachelor of Science Degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent experience Experience & Skills Required: Work Experience IT Experience – 3-4+ Years IT Software testing experience with manual and automated testing methods (SWQA) and tools. 2-3+ Years Must have strong knowledge of QA methodologies and development of test cases – 1-2+ Years Experience writing and maintaining test procedures and test specification – 1 Year Must have strong working knowledge of configuration management and deployment activities.
