Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Manager, QC Analytical, at the Amylin, Ohio facility, this position will encompass the analysis of raw material and in process product testing for the Quality Control Laboratory. This mid level Chemist, will join the QC Analytical department to perform routine USP/EP Compendial testing of raw materials. The position will encompass various Wet Chemistry techniques and some analytical instrumentation. The candidate will be expected to maintain accurate and complete laboratory notebooks and quality records. Generate analytical data and reports needed for the CMC section of NDA and other regulatory filings. Generate analytical data and reports needed for the release of materials utilized in the manufacturing process.

 

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or related science with more than 2 to 5 years of cGMP laboratory experience
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of cGMP regulations and analytical requirements for parenteral products
  • Specific understanding of the theory and practice of analytical techniques: High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC), UV-Vis Spectrophotometry, FTIR-ATR Spectroscopy, Wet Chemistry, Titrations, Gravimetric analysis
  • The ability to operate chromatographic data acquisition and analysis software, analyze data, review data, and create analytical reports and C of As
  • Experience in performing laboratory investigations
  • Apply statistical concepts to the calibration of instrumentation and analysis
