Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for crafting testing approaches, creating repeatable benchmarks for the product’s performance and helping set up the testing culture.
- Responsible for expanding and improving our test environments,
- Perform exploratory testing of enterprise systems management products
- Defining and executing use cases for repeatable testing.
- Using manual and automated testing with a focus on iterative testing.
- Work closely with our engineers on new features and testing approaches to help minimize risk.
- Most importantly, you will be involved early in the development lifecycle, contributing to requirements discussions.
Requirements:
- Computer Science degree
- 5+ years testing experience (preferably manual testing)
- Deep understanding of distributed network applications
- Experience testing complicated systems (multi-tier product line, an operating system kernel, or a virtual machine)
- Cross-platform skills (at minimum basic Windows and Unix administration)
- Scripting experience
- Comfortable testing in an agile environment
- Experience testing and shipping enterprise software products
- Ability to work with multiple teams and be a team player
- Hands on experience with operating systems, web applications, databases, servers, or networks
Wish List:
- Knowledge or use of virtual machines or SAN’s
- Previous experience with or strong knowledge of software development
