QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

We are a national manufacturer of confectionary products headquartered in Buffalo, NY with over 500 employees in 3 locations including Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The Quality Assurance Manager is charged with developing and maintaining quality systems to assure that all products manufactured in our Buffalo manufacturing facilities meet customer specifications and achieve superior levels of quality and reliability.
Will direct a staff of 5 to 7 associates in management of Quality programs, good manufacturing practice (GMP) systems and HAACP.
Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing quality and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
Meets quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance policies & procedures.
Skills/Qualifications:
Prefer a minimum of 5-7 years Q.A. experience at the management level in food, beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
B.S. Degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
