REQUIREMENTS:
Perform the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Direct and coordinate activities of workers. Responsible for all managerial activities throughout the plant in support of operations. This includes, but not limited to, production, product quality, safety, employee relations, USDA compliance, Plant security, shipping and receiving activities, maintenance and sanitation coordination.
Ø Directs quality activities to assure efficient and economical utilization of materials and control the quality of units produced.
Ø Summaries in writing weekly performance and present action plan to address opportunities. Report daily quality activities in the areas of Productivity, Yields, Safety, Labor, Inventories, etc.
Ø Schedule and conduct department meetings.
Ø Write letters, memos and reports that command attention and achieves results.
Ø Develops solutions to improve or enhance efficiencies in the areas of plant procedures, operations, quality, budgeting, cost control and safety.
Ø Coordinate with HR for appropriate staffing levels, trainings, performance reviews and evaluation of all personnel within Production.
Ø Administer union contract provision, company policies and seek to maintain employer/employee as the highest level.
Ø Assist in developing and supporting methods, procedures and system to improve employee performance and employee morale.
Ø Comply with Safety Injury illness Prevention Program to ensure injury reduction and a safe work environment, provides safety trainings and strict observance of safety rules and regulations.
Ø Provides for regulatory compliance by working closely with USDA Inspection personnel and regulations
Ø Ensure compliance of HACCP and GMP programs.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from a four-Year College or technical school or equivalent experience and education; 3-5 years quality or related experience in a USDA food manufacturing facility.
Language Ability:
Ability to speak, write, read and interpret documents English/Spanish preferred. Prepare and communicate performance reports, action plants, correspondence, safety rules, maintenance operations, instructions, and manual procedure.
Computer
Computer literate on; Excel, Microsoft word, Power Point, Microsoft outlook and have the ability to learn and apply company programs.
